About Online European Roulette

Of the three classic variations of the iconic King of Casino Games, European Roulette is arguably the most widely-played. The game can be found in all the best casinos the world over, land-based and online.
The basic tools of the game are a table marked with betting areas, a large wheel with pockets in three different colours, a small white or silver ball, and betting chips. Gameplay at its most basic has players betting on the pocket in which they think the ball will be found, once the wheel has stopped spinning.
All bets placed, the wheel is then spun. Only when it has stopped spinning and the ball has definitely come to a rest are the results announced and winnings paid out.
Three Centuries of Spins
The origin of European Roulette can be traced back to 17th century French scientist Blaise Pascal. In his quest to create a perpetual motion machine, he managed to invent the prototype of what was to become one of the world’s most famous casino online Colombia games, more or less 100 years later.
La Roulette, ou le Jour, a novel published in 1796 by Pascal’s compatriot Jacques Lablee, contains the earliest-known account of the modern version of Roulette, which used a wheel with 36 pockets.
In the 19th century, a single zero was added to the wheel in Bad Homberg, Germany, and in the same century, a single zero and a double zero were added to the wheel in the USA. These apparently minor changes led to the development of the distinct European, French, and American versions of the game.
A Closer Look at Playing European Roulette
The wheel of online European Roulette features 37 pockets, the majority of which are coloured either red or black. The pockets are numbered from 0 to 36.
Once players have launched their preferred version of the game, they would need to determine the value of their chips before placing their first bets. Controls on the game interface allow for the adjusting of the chip value.
To place bets, players select the appropriate spot on the table’s betting areas. Their virtual chips will then be moved to that area. Players may bet on specific colours and/or numbers, or they may place more general bets.
When roulette for australian players have finalised their bets, they would select the Spin button, and the wheel will be set in motion. HD graphics and animations mean players can watch the ball drop into the wheel and spin in counter-motion before coming to rest in one of the pockets.
If players guessed correctly, they will receive a payout.
European Roulette Bets
The two main types of bets in online European Roulette are Outside bets and Inside bets, and the distinction between them is important.
Outside bets are so called because they appear on the outside of the grid on the table.
Among them are Dozen bets, in which players bet on a group of 12 numbers; Column bets, in which players bet on one of three columns of numbers; and bets known as Even Money bets.
Even Money bets are those in which players bet on 18 numbers in a group, namely 1 to 18, 19 to 36, Odd, Even, Black, or Red.
Inside European Roulette bets include Split bets, whereby players bet on two numbers alongside each other; Straight Up bets, whereby players bet on any one number; and Street bets, whereby players bet on three numbers in a row. Players can also bet on four, five, or six numbers in a row.
